DATA AND PRIVACY
Tennis@DASH Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: October 27, 2026
This policy covers the Tennis@DASH Android app and the player website at app.datastatshub.com. The developer is DataStatsHub (DASH), operated by Omar Sayyouh in Egypt. Contact datastatshub@gmail.com for privacy questions or requests. The separate public website privacy notice covers the DataStatsHub marketing website.
Information you provide
- Account and profile: email address, account identifier, password used for authentication, player name, age, playing hand, rankings, level, and court preferences. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth. Passwords are not included in player exports.
- Tennis and planning: opponents' names, match scores, point logs, serve and rally details, match statistics, events, calendar entries, training tasks, journal entries, and racquet-string records.
- Fitness and nutrition: readiness ratings, training activity, food names, meal entries, calorie estimates, and calorie targets that you choose to record. These entries can reveal information about your wellbeing. They are not medical records or medical advice. The current app does not connect to Health Connect or collect sensor measurements, GPS tracks, or wearable data.
- Practice Network: player name, country, city, venue, available dates and times, court surface, practice preferences, rating information, requests, responses, completion status, and coordination messages you choose to submit. Venue names and messages may reveal a meeting place; avoid posting a home address or unnecessary sensitive information. The app does not request your device's GPS location.
- Subscription information: Google Play purchase tokens, product and plan identifiers, verification results, renewal status, expiry dates, and trial history. Google Play processes payments. We do not receive your full payment-card number or banking credentials.
How we use information
We use account data to authenticate you; player records to save, synchronize, and display your season; and match data to calculate statistics and optional coaching suggestions. Practice details support finding and coordinating practice sessions. Subscription data verifies access to Free, Pro, and trial features. We also use necessary technical records to operate the service, respond to support requests, and investigate errors or abuse.
Live coaching is optional. Its current rules evaluate your recorded match data in the app; the app does not send your match records to a generative AI service for coaching. You can switch coaching off in the match setup and control its live-intelligence permissions.
Who can see your information
Your saved profile, nutrition, journal, and match archive are associated with your signed-in account. They are not published as a general public feed. When you post practice availability, the slot details and displayed player name can be seen by other signed-in players. Practice requests are available to the players involved, and coordination messages are available to the participants in that practice request. Your private journal and nutrition records are not included in a practice listing.
Exported reports and backups remain under your control. If you send them to a coach or another person, that recipient receives the information in the file. Please use an opponent's name or other person's details only when you are entitled to do so.
Service providers and international processing
Supabase provides account authentication, the application database, backend functions, and authentication email delivery. The current application database is hosted in the EU West (Ireland) region. Sites hosting and its underlying Cloudflare infrastructure deliver the website. Google Play provides Android distribution, billing, and subscription lifecycle notifications, including delivery through Google Cloud Pub/Sub to our backend. These providers may process necessary account, transaction, network, and service data in countries outside your own under their terms and safeguards.
Hosting, authentication, and backend providers may record IP addresses, request times, browser or device details, and error information to operate and protect their services. We do not sell your personal information. The player app contains no advertising SDK or Google Analytics tracking. Any optional analytics on the separate marketing website is described in its own notice. We may disclose information when required by applicable law or to investigate misuse or protect the service and its users.
Local storage, permissions, and security
The app stores your player records and pending changes in local browser or Android WebView storage, and stores account-session information so you can remain signed in. Signed-in records synchronize with Supabase. Offline changes can remain on the device until synchronization succeeds. Access to private cloud records is restricted by account permissions, and network communication uses HTTPS. These safeguards do not guarantee that a device or service can never be compromised; protect your device and sign-in details.
Android calendar reminders use local notifications if you grant notification permission. Reminder text may appear on your lock screen according to your device settings. Exports save files to your device, and restoring a backup reads the file you select. The app does not request access to your contacts, SMS, microphone, camera, or precise location.
Retention and deletion
We retain active account and season records while your account exists, unless you remove individual records using the available controls. Past practice availability can be marked expired; expiry is a status change and does not itself delete the record. Ending a trial or subscription does not erase your player data.
To delete your account, open Profile → Delete my account and confirm, or use the public Tennis@DASH account-deletion page. A successful deletion removes your sign-in account, profile, saved season records, entitlement, and associated practice availability, requests, and messages from the active database. Deletion also removes practice conversations associated with those requests. The app clears its player-data cache on the device where you complete in-app deletion.
Account deletion does not erase downloaded files, copies held by other people, or caches on other devices; remove these separately. Provider backups and operational security logs can remain until their retention periods expire; these periods depend on the provider and service configuration. We do not specify a separate app-level post-deletion storage period. Google may retain payment records under its own policies. Account deletion does not cancel Google Play renewal: manage or cancel your subscription in Google Play separately.
Your choices and requests
You can edit your profile, remove records where a delete control is available, download a technical backup, and request account deletion. Pro performance-report export is a separate feature. You may decline optional notifications, avoid posting practice availability, or disable live coaching. Contact our privacy email for help accessing, correcting, or deleting information or exercising rights available under the law that applies to you. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
Younger players
Tennis@DASH is intended for players aged 13 and older, subject to the minimum age and parental-consent requirements that apply where you live. It is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has supplied personal data, contact us so we can investigate and arrange deletion. Younger players and their parents or guardians should consider carefully before sharing a practice venue, availability, or messages with others.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page and its revision date when our practices change. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent before introducing a new use of personal information.
